Terms & Conditions

1. Nature of Services

Psyche Tingle is a collaborative mental well-being space led by a team of dedicated psychologists. We believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, and that life’s challenges are not always loud or obvious.
  • Therapy is a supportive and collaborative process, not a medical or psychiatric service
  • Outcomes vary for each individual; specific results cannot be guaranteed.
  • Therapy does not replace medical care, psychiatric treatment, or emergency services
When appropriate, referrals may be suggested to ensure client safety and well-being.

2. Eligibility for Services

  • Adult clients may engage in therapy voluntarily
  • For minors, consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
  • Clients are expected to provide accurate and honest information to the best of their ability

3. Therapy Process

  • Sessions are conducted in a confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental environment
  • Therapy may involve emotional exploration, reflection, and skill-building
  • At times, therapy may feel emotionally challenging; this can be a normal part of the process
Clients have the right to pause, ask questions, or discontinue therapy at any point.

4. Online Sessions

For online sessions:
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring a private, quiet space
  • A stable internet connection and functional device are required
  • Psyche Tingle is not responsible for disruptions due to technical issues beyond our control
All sessions – online or offline – are documented and stored digitally in Psyche Tingle’s secure system.

5. Communication Boundaries

  • WhatsApp and email are used for administrative communication only
  • Therapeutic discussions are reserved for scheduled sessions
  • Messages sent outside working hours may not be responded to immediately
This helps maintain professional boundaries and service quality.

6. Confidentiality

Confidentiality is maintained in line with professional ethical standards and is detailed further in the Privacy Policy.
Limits to confidentiality apply in situations involving:
  • Risk of harm to self or others
  • Abuse involving children or vulnerable individuals
  • Legal or court-mandated disclosures

7. Appointments, Fees, and Attendance

  • Sessions are scheduled in advance
  • Session duration is typically 45–50 minutes unless otherwise stated
  • Payment terms, cancellation timelines, and rescheduling policies are outlined separately in the Payment & Cancellation Policy
Late arrivals may result in shortened sessions to respect scheduling.

8. Emergency / Crisis Disclaimer

Psyche Tingle does not provide emergency, crisis, or 24/7 mental health services.
Therapy sessions are scheduled and supportive in nature. If you or someone you know is experiencing:
  • Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
  • Immediate danger to self or others
  • Severe emotional distress requiring urgent support
Please seek immediate help through:
  • Local emergency services
  • A nearby hospital or emergency department
  • A trusted family member or support person
  • A crisis helpline available in your area

9. Therapist’s Right to Terminate or Refer

A psychologist may recommend:
  • Referral to another professional
  • Temporary or permanent termination of therapy
This may occur if:
  • Client needs exceed the scope of services
  • Therapy is no longer beneficial
  • Safety or ethical concerns arise
Whenever possible, this will be discussed respectfully and collaboratively.

10. Changes to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
